God has provided us with much work to do. At the same time, He has also provided incredible and passionate people for His Kingdom. At the beginning of this year, we officially added 11 people to our staff. It fills us with joy to see that our family is growing in talent and dedication to our ministries.
Please meet the new members of our family:
Areli Perez. For several months, many of you joined Jose Perez and us in prayer so that his family would be together again. With much joy, we share that the Perez family is reunited in the same country and serving the Lord. Areli has officially joined our Church Partnership program. She will be serving as our community development coordinator and ministering to the wives of the pastors whom we serve in this ministry. Jose and Areli are a fantastic couple! They have done a great job directing our Church Partnership program, which includes strengthening the relationship between local churches and churches in the United States that have a partnership through Chosen People. They have been giving marriage and premarital counseling, training and discipling pastors and leaders, working with youth groups and building relationships with more local churches. They are incredible!
Briley and Edgar Castro are starting officially full-time with us this year! Edgar and Briley got married in 2018 and moved to Guatemala in 2019. Last year, Edgar participated in the pastoral training program, while Briley attended Spanish School while also working alongside Chosen People. Now in 2020, they are ready to put to use all that they learned! They are working alongside our pastoral trainers to keep a close connection with the pastors that are attending our programs; this also means focusing on building strong relationships with these individuals, their churches, and communities. Additionally, Edgar and Briley visit our well-drilling sites and use this opportunity to minister with the people of the communities where Chosen People is providing safe water.
